Sin is a funny thing, by funny I mean twisted. Have you every debated doing something, your mind conflicted soul tormented, pleasure of this life or purity for the next one? I can only pray you picked purity, if you think it’s wrong it doesn’t matter how many people think its right, you make your own decisions. Now this is were sin gets really twisted, you fall in to temptation once, twice, twelve times, each time it gets easier and easier to say yes to sin and harder and harder so deny sin.[ So the trouble is not with the law, for it is spiritual and good. The trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to sin. I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate.] Romans 7:14-15. The Lord Jesus Christ gave us a way out of our slavery to sin. Temptation to sin is still strong and still gets stronger the more you sin, but the power of our Lord is far superior, use His strength, and you can beat sin. The purer your heart the stronger His strength, meaning you must want to stop sinning, plus believe in His power.
It takes a great deal of humility to admit you can’t do everything own your own, you need His help. That is what I have to believe is holding back so many intellectually sound people form knowing the Lord Jesus Christ. It is hard to admit humans are not the end all of all things, especially when we as humans have the upper hand on all other living things of this earth. We are on the top of the food chin, and a small human child can out smart his or her fully mature pet. [Pride ends in humiliation, while humility brings honor.] Proverbs 29:23. Consider this if Humans were really as smart and as great as things get, would we not understand all of lives mysteries?
